  • Where are you located?
    #101 - 8950 Young Road in Chilliwack BC, V2P 7X9​. We are right beside Old World Kitchens & Custom Cabinets or same building as Loose Caboose and the Reptile Room in Chilliwack.
  • Where do I park?
    Upon arriving at the Axe House in Chilliwack, you can park anywhere in the front of the building where you see space or in front of the Old World Kitchens & Custom Cabinets building. DO NOT PARK behind our building as a gate gets locked at 5PM and your vehicle will be locked in until the next morning at 9AM.
  • How much does it cost?

  • What if my group size changes?
    You’re welcome to bring more or fewer guests than selected when booking. Please let us know if your party size changes, so we can ensure that you have all the lanes your group size will require. If you have overpaid for extra people for your axe/knife-throwing party. You will personally be on the hook for this cost and your other party members who could not attend will need to reimburse you.
  • What if I need to cancel my reservation?
    We would be sad to see you can’t make it, but you can cancel. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your reservation you will receive a Full Refund or a Gift Certificate. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your reservation we cannot refund or promise you any credit.​ If you have overpaid for extra people for your axe/knife-throwing party. You will personally be on the hook for this cost and your other party members who could not attend will need to reimburse you.
  • Do I get my own target? How many lanes will my group get?
    Our staff will determine the appropriate number of targets/lanes based on your group size. Each group will have their own target(s) and tables.
  • Do I have to reserve a spot?
    Reservations are not required but are recommended. Making a reservation is the only way to guarantee a private/double lane for your group. We do welcome walk-ins during normal hours, but walk-ins are first-come, first-served and availability is not guaranteed.
  • How old do you need to be to throw axes?
    You must be at least 8 years old to participate and as old as 99 years old! Minors, however, (8-year-olds to 18-year-olds) must be accompanied by a "Responsible Adult" aged 19+. People of all ages are welcome to spectate including toddlers and even babies. All guests will receive a brief orientation and be taught to throw an axe in a safe manner. If we doubt the capabilities of a minor or even yourself to safely throw an axe, our coaches will not allow yourself to participate.
  • Can I bring my own axe or knife?
    You can, but it must be completely concealed in a carrying case until you enter the facility. You MUST check your axe or throwing knives in with the front desk and allow us to look it over.
  • Are spectators allowed?
    Yes, spectators are always more than welcome, at no cost. Come and cheer on your friends, family and colleagues and become part of the electric atmosphere. All spectators must book in advance, we do have limits on occupancy in the venue and we need to make sure we have the space for onlookers.

  • Can I bring my child or baby?
    Children are welcome to come as spectator. We require that parents or guardians closely monitor children at all times while within the facility. Your child must be in your immediate care at all times as there are axes being thrown. Please be aware that our facilities are designed for an adult audience, and as such there can be a lot of loud noises such as music, axes and cheering that may be unsettling for young children.
  • Can I throw if I’m pregnant?
    Yes, That is a personal decision based on your physical condition. However, just like any extreme sport, we highly recommend you seek you Doctor’s advice prior to participating and understand the risks associated with the throwing.
  • What shoes and clothing should I wear?
    You must wear closed toe shoes when throwing axes. If you are wearing opened-toe shoes, or shoes that leave the top of your foot exposed, such as flip-flops, sandals or light fabric shoes, you will not be allowed to throw. High heels are also not recommended. We do NOT have rentable shoes for you to wear and you will NOT be refunded. We also recommend a comfortable, loose fitting top that won’t restrict arm or upper body movement.
  • Do I need to bring my ID?
    Yes. We are a fully licensed, Liquor Primary business and as such require you to have at all times 2 pieces of government issued ID. We will scan your ID to validate yourself and your identity at the time of entry. **We ID EVERYONE who looks under the ages of 30** If you do not have proper identification, we have the right to refuse your entry into our facility or still allow you in, but not allow you to order alcohol. We will NOT refund you but will provide you the opportunity to book another date to come in when you have proper ID.
  • Can I bring my own food?
    ​We don't allow outside food or drinks inside our axe-throwing facility aside from water bottles or a cake for a special occasion that we can throw in our fridge to keep cool but do have a good selection of menu items to drink and eat and enjoy while you throw. Click here to see our menu.
  • Can I bring my own axe or knife?
    You can, but it must be completely concealed in a carrying case until you enter the facility. You MUST check your axe or throwing knives in with the front desk and allow us to look it over.
  • Will there be training?
    Defiantly! Our certified coaches will demonstrate proper safety handling and axe-throwing or knife-throwing techniques during your first few throws to make sure everyone can stick the board. Coaches are present throughout the experience for questions and to help you master your bullseye and learn how to throw an axe.
  • Are you insured?
    Yes, we are fully insured up to a $5 million liability coverage.
  • Do I need to sign a liability waiver?
    Yes. A copy of our liability waiver, which must be signed by all guests before throwing, which you can find below on this page OR when you come into "The Axe House" we have an iPad up front and can sign your waivers once you arrive. Spectators are not required to sign a waiver and will be given a blue bracelet upon entering so our staff know you are not permitted in to be throwing.
  • Is axe throwing safe?
    Yes. Safety is our #1 priority. As with all sports there is a degree of risk involved. The Axe House employees conduct a safety orientation before each session and we are very strict in making sure that everyone is throwing the axes in a safe manner. We closely monitor our facility and patrons to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone. We have dozens of protective measures in place, such as wood grabbing fencing, hard rubber grabbing mats, wood chips and specially designed boards to absorb all throwing energy. You will be in safe hands at our facility.
  • Do you serve alcohol?
    Yes! As of June 27th, 2024 our facility was approved for a Liquor Primary License. We now offer a variety of well crafted local beers, coolers, wines and spirits at great prices. Make sure to check out our menu page to see our offerings. There is a zero-tolerance policy for anyone bringing drugs, decriminalized drugs or outside alcohol onto the property. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be inebriated.
  • Do you have food available for purchase?

  • Do you have any leagues?
    We are pleased to announce with the New Year, in 2024 will be starting our league play. The league is an 8-week season, with a double elimination tournament taking place on the 8th week. League members will play 4 – 10 throw matches each week. The cost per player for each season is $125+ applicable taxes. https://www.theaxehouse.ca/leagues
